Yum yum yum. No complaints about this place- everything is soooo good! Service is quick, too, and the line moves fast. The only issue you may encounter is trying to find a table during their lunch/dinner rush!
I loved the chicken and found it smoky and addictive. I ate half a chicken by myself pretty much in one sitting lol. The jalapeño and mayo filling sauces are especially yummy when mixed together. I didn't love the coleslaw but I am not a fan of coleslaw in general. The steak fries were amazing.
My first time trying Inca cola and I thought it was okay. My husband thought it tasted like Big Red! -

Peruvian chicken is a popular thing here in the DC area and this place just does it right. Super affordable, super quick and super tasty. Your delicious plate will literally be ready in seconds. Make sure to get dark meat! This is my second fave spot for Peruvian chicken right after super Pollo so far.

Had been craving some Peruvian chicken from here and they get it right every time. Went at 8:40pm on a Sunday and they were still packed! The line was backed up to the front door but I still waited. Finally got up to the front and ordered. I was sad that they only had 3 side choices (rice, coleslaw & fries.)
I ordered a whole chicken which comes with 2 sides & 6 small sauces. 6 small sauces are not enough for all of that chicken. You do have the choice of getting a tub of sauce for about $3. I went with the fries and rice as I didn't like any of the sides & the coleslaw looked nasty. The sides will not feed a family of 4. More like 1 maybe 2 people can share. I also ordered a cola champagne. Total for the whole chicken , 2 sides & cola was $20.01. Not bad to feed a family of 3-4, if you don't need additional portions of side dishes.
Overall good. I always get a lot of the yellow sauce because it's delicious. 4-stars because of the side options and the portion sizes. Need to be bigger!!! -

We don't have many Peruvian pollo a la brasa places in LA, so while visiting I decided to order from here hoping it would be the same a la brasa chicken and fries that I once enjoyed back when I use to come here but nope! Over seasoned chicken that is just way too much sodium for me and soggy oily steak fries, my favorite kind of fries and they managed to mess that up. And wow, never have I tasted coleslaw that barely had shredded cabbage yet so much mayonnaise, gross!
Overall it was a disappointing meal and the reason they have high reviews is because the people who frequent El Pollo Rico believe that anything that is seasoned beyond salt & pepper is succulent which is not the case at all! Go back to making food with love and good quality. -

Love love love this place. While I was in Arlington for a seminar, I stopped by this place twice. It is Peruvian chicken with two sides - French fries, white rice, coleslaw. So, for example, a quarter piece of chicken with two sides is $10. What a deal!! I wish we had something like this closer. Line was almost out the door both nights I went around 7:30pm.
